When is it time to redesign your website?
Before a redesign, our client's website suffered from a range of common issues:
- poor content optimization for users
- poor search engine optimization (SEO)
- lack of an effective Content Management System (CMS)
- no mobile responsiveness for mobile devices, tablets, or different screen sizes.
- ineffective analytics management
Consequently, the website ranked poorly in search engines. The number of inquiries largely depended on the brand's visibility in other marketing channels.
First website redesign
The Matjaž brand (now Hörmann Slovenija since 2020) operated alongside the international Hörmann brand. This crucial factor dictated that the website's design had to align with the international brand's online presence.
Our initial website redesign primarily focused on technical and search engine optimization. Concurrently, we began our intensive content work as part of our webmaster service.
As a result, within a few months, the Hörmann website significantly improved its search engine rankings, climbing hundreds of positions for key keywords fundamental to the company's core business.
The number of inquiries also started to grow, exceeding the baseline by 50%.
Second website redesign
In 2014, we visually updated the website again, mirroring Hörmann's own brand-level refresh. During this phase, we further optimized the visual appearance for various devices.
This entire redesign was completed under the existing webmaster service agreement, incurring no additional costs for the client.
At this time, we also integrated new content and offerings for an additional business activity: courtyard gates. Our client acquired this from a bankrupt business partner (Vratko).
Through careful preparation, we successfully redirected the high search engine rankings of the former business partner's website for this new activity to our client's site.
Third website redesign
In 2018, we embarked on a more extensive redesign for Hörmann Slovenija (at the time Matjaž d.o.o.). One of the client's primary wishes was to bring the website as close as possible, visually and in terms of content, to Hörmann's international website.
Some of the major changes on the new site included:
- a larger header image (full-screen width),
- removal of the right-hand menu (accessible via an icon next to the Matjaž company logo),
- added an automatic video display function based on keywords related to the content of individual subpages,
- prominent inquiry, viewing, and measurement buttons in the top right corner,
- animated page elements (elements on the left and right edges appear and some disappear as the user scrolls down the content),
- new page types,
- and more.
Content optimization ran (and continues to run) in parallel with these changes.
Results of our webmaster service
Over several years, we supported our client across various aspects of digital marketing through our webmaster service contract. This approach yielded exceptional results:
- improved search engine rankings by hundreds of positions for the most important keywords,
- increased page views and submitted inquiries by 200% to 400% across different products,
- ensured a functional user experience on various devices and screens,
- established a web communication system that ensures a continuous flow of information across different channels.
