Organization of the ASCE Annual General Meeting and Conference

In 2012, Maribor hosted over 100 ASCE members from all over Europe. We developed the entire concept and flawlessly executed the complex multi-day event.

Context

The Association of Significant Cemeteries in Europe organizes a conference every year, which is attended by members from all over Europe. The conference includes social events, lectures, professional excursions, a gala dinner, and numerous other activities. Our agency organized all the activities for AGM 2012.

Event organization with a special invitation

We invited members to the event with a special video invitation that we showed a year prior at the conference in Vienna.

At that time, we also distributed special postcards, which we invited them to bring to Maribor in 2012 and mail from there.

Introduction to the event with the video "Get in touch with Maribor"

We began the conference with a presentation video that referred to the central message from the invitation a year earlier: "Get in touch with Maribor - through the cemeteries."

In memory of the event: Touched by Maribor T-shirts

We gave attendees special Touched by Maribor T-shirts, which complemented the central message of the event.

Accompanying event: Opening of the EUCEMET exhibition

As part of the conference, we also held a separate evening event for the opening of the EUCEMET exhibition, which took place at the Dobrava cemetery.

Introduction to the exhibition with a video presentation

To introduce the event, we created a special video that, in a few minutes, showcased the best photographs and the main message of the exhibition.

Accompanying event: Guided cemetery tour with students

We equipped elementary school students with guide tools and trained them to lead the tours. This surprised the conference attendees with a different approach, making the guided cemetery tour much more interesting and unique.
