European Rail Infrastructure Managers (EIM) and Association
of Business Logistics are organising 1st Congress of Rail Infrastructure
Managers in Slovenia at the beginning of December 2003 in Maribor.
The basic purpose of the Congress is to exchange experience
with realisation of demands from European directives about the
free access to rail infrastructure. Distinguished home and foreign
EIM experts are going to introduce their own experience about
the implementation of demands of European directives from the
field of managing rail traffic and transferring the latter to
their national environment.
A special attention will be given to the scientific and technical
discussions about the establishment of the vision of managing
the rail infrastructure, establishment of the changed rail
infrastructure manager role and with regard to this, also
to the ensuring of free access to rail infrastructure. After
the presentations of our guests from 15 European countries
(Slovenia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denmark,
Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Croatia, Hungary,
Germany, Netherlands, Latvia, and Great Britain) we will continue
with the guided debate on delimiting the most important guidelines
and possibilities of improving the process for implementation
of rail infrastructure manager in Slovenia.
Congress is primarily intended for the home and foreign experts
whose field of expertise is connected to planning, building,
implementation, and maintenance of rail traffic infrastructure.
